Have you wondered what people wear before they learnt to make clothes?

In the early phase of civilization, people did not have clothes to wear. To cover themselves, they use leaves and animal skin. Then, human learnt to weave grass..! And they understand weaving process. People started to make natural fibres.

Food, shelter and clothing are the basic necessities for the survival of human civilization. Ohhh I know…now if u ask to new generation(like us), they will definitely add mobile phone, internet and gadgets in their basic needs….hahaha.

Textile plays important role in making clothing and making shelter more comfortable and attractive. There are many theories about the origin of clothing it includes two aspects; people’s physiology and psychological needs. A textile or cloth is a flexible woven material consisting of a network of natural or artificial fibres often referred to as thread and yarns.

Yessss…..we produce artificial fibres ! I know some of you wondered, but we will come back to this very soon.

More than 1000 years ago, textile and clothing products was in small sector. People started to do clothing at their community for themselves. After first industrial revolution they started to do it in large scale. Also people started to do export and import of their production. People devloped technology and made machines to use in factories and industries. First computer in textile industry used for making hardware of weaving process. We developed science and technology and started to dye fabrics for looking more attractive and colourful. Now we are making various types of fabrics like cotton, jute, silk, wool etc
